Empire Levy Hunter

Unlike the ranged units of other factions, the Empire has decided to give its troops crossbows to use. Although they have a slow rate of fire, their damage and accuracy are unmatched when used by an experienced soldier - and they can still pierce through even fairly strong armour even in the hands of these recruits. Levy Hunters are at the first stage the Empire’s ranged line and are given the Light Crossbow to develop their skills further. Their armor consists of leather and they use an arming sword for melee combat. If taken care of, these troops will upgrade into the elite rank of Empire Armored Crossbowman. They are upgraded from Empire Levy Recruit and upgrade to Empire Levy Skirmisher or Empire Levy Horseman.
