The Soldier's Cleaver is a low tier weapon used by many troops in Pendor. Being a cleaver, it deals only cutting damage. However, the amount of damage that it deals is acceptable as a one-handed weapon, on par with weapons such as the Melitine Sabre. It has decent speed ratings and weapon reach, which makes it good for close-quarters combat. It has a strength requirement of 9, which is good enough for a low tier weapon, and a lack of a thrust attack makes this excellent for hacking and slashing in melee.
