The Steel Hammer is
a mid-tier blunt weapon used by a number of common enemies in Pendor. It's not the strongest one-handed blunt weapon in the game by a long shot, being inferior to the Battle Hammer and Doom Mace in most respects. While comparable to the Military Hammer, however, the Steel Hammer does have one advantage: its reach. The Steel version is much more suitable for fighting from horseback, and has a lower strength requirement than the stronger blunt weapons as well. It's a decent placeholder weapon for a blunt-weapon-favoring player until they can get their hands on a Battle Hammer or better. The Steel Hammer can be fairly commonly found in merchant shops in Pendor, especially around Sarleon territory, which is the faction that uses this hammer the most.
